Led by Rev. Darla Allen, the CVCC Music Ministry is a diverse and active ministry at Casa View Christian Church and encompasses five (5) different musical groups:

  • Praise Singers (Primary in Sunday Worship)
  • Praise Band (Primary in Sunday Worship)
  • Chancel Choir (Mixed Chior)
  • Faithful Men (Men’s Chorus)
  • Academy Angels (Casa View Christian Academy Children)

The Music Ministry is comprised of people who have a passion for praising God through music and drama.

Variety in our musical offerings is one of the strengths in this ministry:

  • Praise and Worship music, led by our Praise Team sets the tone for each worship service at CVCC.
  • The Chancel Choir (Mixed Choir) and the Faithful Men (Men’s Chorus) periodically add their special touch in worship through singing songs of joy and close harmonies.
  • Twice a year, the Academy Angels (pre-school choir) delight all listeners with their enthusiasm for singing. The children also learn poetry and short drama sketches. They love presenting their talents in music and drama for all present in the worship services to enjoy.

The CVCC Music Ministry is passionate about mission with the neighborhood and community. Examples of these missions are:

  • Living Nativity: The Living Nativity is a Community Event in which the story of Christ’s birth is told. Story telling, Christmas carols and songs, hot cocoa and treats, are all enjoyed. The back-drop is a hand-crafted stable and manger, live animals and costumed characters in portrayal as the story unfolds.
  • The Music Ministry leads a worship service twice a year at the Juliette Fowler Homes in Dallas. The elderly residents of Fowler Home love for us to sing for and with them. We go there “to minister with the residents” and always come away having been blessed and filled by the residents.

The Music Ministry believes the work of the church is action-oriented and community focused. When there is an opportunity for serving, whether musical or missional, we are ready to answer the call to share the love of Jesus with others.
