Bilingual Teacher (2-4 Year Olds)

Primary Responsibilities: Child Care and Christian Education

  • Observe and adhere to all policies and procedures at Casa View Christian Preschool (CVCP) and the local, state and national regulatory agencies pertaining to health, safety, and care of children including but not limited to:
  • Supervise a group of children to ensure their basic needs are being met including safety, food, and attention.
  • Prepare lessons, materials, and classroom for learning activities.
  • Deliver well-planned lessons to children in English and Spanish.
  • Provide positive verbal recognition and acceptance for children while providing clear, caring, and consistent behavior expectations.
  • Assess each child’s needs in the five areas of development (Spiritual, Cognitive, Social-Emotional, Physical, and Language) on an ongoing basis.
  • Follow the established daily routine and schedule.
  • Prepare and serve snacks.
  • Partner with parents to discuss their child’s progress, needs, and priorities as well as participating in parent-teacher conferences.
  • Must be reliable and come to work on time.


Secondary Responsibilities: Administrative and Maintenance

  • Maintain an appealing and clean classroom that encourages children to learn, create, play, and explore.
  • Clean classroom at the beginning and end of day.
  • Inventory and submit requests for classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Ensure cleanliness in common areas such as playgrounds and restrooms.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, professional development, and school functions.
  • Update parents throughout the day regarding their child.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director, or designee.


Required

  • Be 18 years of age or older with a High school diploma/equivalent.
  • Speak, read, and write fluent English and Spanish
  • Must be reliable and come to work on time.


Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Express a love for children and God.
  • Build and cultivate positive relationships with children, colleagues, parents/families, church and community members.
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Hold current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Have basic computer proficiency.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Assume low-level postures to allow for visual and physical contact with children.
  • Engage in physical activity with children, both indoors and outdoors.

Job Type: Part-time


Salary: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

All staff, students and parents are required to wear a mask, parents cannot come into the building, and common surfaces are sanitized regularly.
